Description
The Central Fire Station in Singapore, located at Hill Street (within the Central Planning Area) in the Central Business District, is the oldest fire station within Singapore. Even though planning for a fire service started in the 1850's, the fire station was constructed in 1908 and drastically improved conditions for fire fighting in Singapore. It was declared as a National Monument in the year 1998, and was integrated with the Civil Defence Force in 1989. The building looks superb at night with its lighting, although with a busy road in front, difficult to get a good photo.
