Description
Clarke Quay is a very popular evening and night destination in Singapore. It is located on the Singapore river, up from the mouth of the river. It is named after Sir Andrew Clarke who was the second Governor of Singapore, from 1873 - 1875. The area was originally highly polluted, and was restored during the 1980's. It also hosts many tourist attractions such as restaurants, pubs, river cruises, and the G-max Reverse Bungee. This is a covered stretch with a number of restaurants and pubs. There is a small stretch where there are a number of water jets that make up a fountain, very colorful.
