Description
Clarke Quay is a very popular evening and night destination in Singapore. It is located on the Singapore river, up from the mouth of the river. It is named after Sir Andrew Clarke who was the second Governor of Singapore, from 1873 - 1875. The area was originally highly polluted, and was restored during the 1980's. It also hosts many tourist attractions such as restaurants, pubs, river cruises, and the G-max Reverse Bungee. The photo was taken from a bridge that is prominent at Clarke Quay. A major part of Clarke Quay is a covered path with a blue light, and with a number of restaurants and pubs. River cruises also are operational here. In addition, you can have a nice walk along the river, where there are a number of stalls and hawkers from whom you can buy stuff.
