Description
Clarke Quay is a very popular evening and night destination in Singapore. It is located on the Singapore river, up from the mouth of the river. It is named after Sir Andrew Clarke who was the second Governor of Singapore, from 1873 - 1875. The area was originally highly polluted, and was restored during the 1980's. It also hosts many tourist attractions such as restaurants, pubs, river cruises, and the G-max Reverse Bungee. The photo was taken from a bridge that is prominent at Clarke Quay and there are some high buildings on one side, as can be seen in this photo. River cruises also are operational here.
