Jallianwala Bagh is a garden inside the city of Amritsar in North India that is situated right next to the Golden Temple. In 1919, during the fight for Indian independence from the British, a mass of unarmed demonstrators shouting slogans were fired upon by British forces, killing more than 1500 people. After independence, the garden was converted into a memorial for the massacre and is now open for everybody to come and also see evidence of the horrors committed on that day.
Ashish Agarwal works for a software company and has a passion for photography (and keeps on getting amazed at some of the quality of photos that he sees from other people). He lives in India, and likes to travel as and when he can get leave. Fortunately, he has access to a number of different cameras, so the photos in this collection are from a range of different cameras.
